It might not make your top 10 destinations for a spring/early summer trip, but Nebraska might surprise you with just how many great experiences and attractions it has. From stargazing to wildlife spotting to tasting local flavors, here’s why you should visit Nebraska this season:
For History Lovers
Discover Nebraska’s rich tribal culture. The state is home to the Omaha, Santee and Winnebago reservations, each with its own sacred sites, museums, powwows and more. Important and informative spots include The Archway, Trail of Tears Historical Marker, Genoa Indian School Interpretive Center, Inner Maker Art Village, Petrified Wood Gallery, and Knight Museum and Sandhills Center. Nebraska also comprised a great part of the Oregon Trail, and you’ll find many interactive museums and pioneer landmarks throughout the state.
