Wilderness Safaris recently welcomed Wayo Africa to its brand family to help increase both brands’ conservation footprint and positive impact in Tanzania.
“Tanzania is a remarkable wildlife destination, offering a range of rich and diverse wilderness experiences. We are therefore thrilled to be joining forces with the like-minded team at Wayo Africa to grow our positive conservation footprint in the region, and to craft extraordinary experiences for our guests in some of the country’s most exclusive wilderness areas,” noted Keith Vincent, CEO, Wilderness Safaris.
Wayo Africa is one of Tanzania’s most respected brands, offering guests the opportunity to stay in small, immersive camps located in remote locations. Guests can stay at the southern section of Lake Manyara National Park at the base of a waterfall or at camps in the northern Serengeti. Guests can embark on unique and impactful adventures such as a specialist-guided, multiday walking safari in the remote Serengeti wilderness zones. These safaris allow guests to experience intimate wildlife encounters.
Jean du Plessis, founder, Wayo Africa, and Catherine Millington, co-owner and director, have extensive experience in Tanzania, and initiated many of the country’s finest on-the-ground and off-the-vehicle activities and excursions. Wayo Africa leads the way in creating sustainable camps, as well as developing young talent into Africa’s safari guides and rangers.
Both companies are excited to join forces and combine their passion for wildlife and protection of the wilderness. The partnership will give Tanzania, its people and the industry greater experiences.

Insta FeedAre You Ready for the Final Switch to Real ID?
Yesterday, TSA began enforcing new identification guidelines, a change that’s been a long-time coming. Now, travelers must show a REAL ID-compliant, state-issued ID in order to fly on domestic flights, in lieu of a non-compliant driver’s license (some other forms of identification, such as passports, will still be acceptable).
