We arrived at the Renaissance Los Angeles Airport Hotel in the late afternoon for our one-night stay. We informed the friendly front desk attendant we were leaving on a flight for our honeymoon the next night. He congratulated us and upgraded our standard room to a suite, granted us club-level access and offered us a late check-out the next day. We really appreciated the accommodations.
Our suite on the seventh floor featured all of the standard hotel room amenitie,s plus a large sitting area complete with sofa and desk. Our stay was short — less than 24 hours — so we didn’t have the opportunity to explore much of the property, though the pool and fitness center were tempting.
We decided to head into downtown Los Angeles for the night. The concierge quickly called us a cab from the line waiting near the hotel. Many popular downtown Los Angeles destinations are about 10 miles away. If you would prefer to stay near the hotel, there are several quick dining and shopping options within walking distance, including In-N-Out Burger and CVS Pharmacy.
The last morning of our stay we enjoyed complimentary breakfast on the hotel’s club level. We sampled from the light buffet of pastries, fruit, yogurt, eggs, breakfast meats, cereal, juice and coffee. As we had a long travel day ahead of us, we appreciated the late check-out and spent extra time in our room before making our way to the airport. The property offers a complimentary airport shuttle, which we used for our arrival and departure.
