No trip to Philadelphia is complete without stopping by Federal Donuts. The double-fried chicken and light cake donuts come in two varieties, rolled in mixtures such as cinnamon brown sugar and glazed with various toppings like chocolate mint.

With two locations throughout Portland, one in Los Angeles and one in Japan, Blue Star Donuts are all the rave. The crème Brulee donuts are cooked to perfection in their burnt-sugar crunch with a pipe of Cointreau syrup jammed in the top.
