Petra
As one of the oldest civilizations and one of the Seven Wonders of the World, why wouldn’t your first stop be Petra? It was first inhabited in the 4th century BC, which makes the temples and structures cut from rock all the more fascinating. For a mind-blowing experience many recommend visiting the site by night. Hundreds of candles line the Siq and Treasury making for a magical experience.
Wadi Rum
This striking desert is also known as the Valley of the Moon, because it looks completely otherworldly. Take a camel ride through the red sands and rock formations and catch a glimpse of the Petroglyphs and pictograms dating back 2,500 years.
Aqaba
Aqaba is Jordan’s only seaport, making it a popular tourist destination. It boasts crystal-clear waters and a stunning coral reef. It is the perfect destination for diving, snorkeling and other watersports.
Madaba
Visit the old city of Madaba, best known for its gold-gilded mosque and collection of Byzantine-era mosaics. The perfect stop for the art and history buff, the city offers a look at the rich history of Jordan.
Dead Sea
Relax and unwind after a long journey by floating in the salt-rich waters of the Dead Sea. The water and mud of this site are said to have healing properties, and sunsets while floating are a must-see.
