If you’ve ever wanted to experience the Arctic Circle in person there’s no better way than by train. The Northern Lights & Arctic Circle by Rail tour through G Adventures is an epic opportunity to experience some of the world’s most pristine landscapes and the greatest natural lightshow on Earth.
The nine-day trip begins in Oslo and takes you through picturesque mountain towns to the village of Kiruna in Sweden. Along the way you’ll pass through mountain landscapes and awe-inspiring ocean views, with several stops in between to take in the culture and sites. Throughout the trip you’ll have the chance to hike beautiful scenery, partake in whale watching tours on the ocean, have a go at dogsledding and more. You can even try reindeer sledding!
Of course, there are plenty of cities to see along the way too. You’ll have plenty of hours to explore cities like Trondheim, as well as cultural wonders like the Arctic Cathedral in Lofoten. The Polar Museum in Tromsø is also a must-see.
Many of these towns provide impressive views of the Aurora Borealis, so take the time to stare up at the sky during your trip.
