Next time you visit a new destination, get around by foot easier and simpler with Walc, the world’s first walking app that gives directions based on what you see.
The service helps users navigate their way around unfamiliar cities on foot and avoid congestion by directing them based on what is in sight. For example, instead of telling users to head north or south, Walc gives directions by advising users to “turn left at McDonalds.”
The useful app got even more convenient with the launch of its new Pocket Mode. The update speaks to users as they make their way on their journey, enabling them to reach their destination hands-free. With no need to tout a mobile device while walking around, users can keep their fingers warm in their jackets or carry more shopping bags.
Pocket Mode guides Walc-ers to their final destination with simple voice commands based on visual landmarks. The service is also compatible with popular music apps like iPlay and Spotify.
Users join the Walc community and are able to enhance its continuously growing collection of visual landmarks, thereby helping other Walc-ers look up, get oriented and start walking.
Walc is available for download free of charge on Google Play or the Apple App Store.
