Paddle boarding is an increasingly popular sport around the world, but the length of trips is restricted by your personal fitness.
Now a company named SIPA developed a range of motorized paddle boards which promise to keep you in the water for hours without tiring you out. Of course, you can still paddle to steer your board, but the motor does the grunt work.
There are three different versions of the motorized board, known as the All-Rounder, the Cruiser and the Fisherman. The basic concept is the same, but there are slightly different features for each.
The boards are powered by quiet, eco-friendly motors, and the boards themselves deflate for easy transportation. Underneath, there are LED lights to light your way, and the jet engine is powerful enough to get you back to shore even if there are strong winds or currents.
The 2016 version of the All-Rounder is on sale for $1,640 from the SIPA website, with free worldwide shipping included. The Fisherman is available for $1,990, and has more space so you can take a tackle box and a cooler with you, while the sleek and agile Cruiser will set you back $1,899.
If you want to stay out on the water for longer and still be confident of getting back to dry land, a SIPA motorized paddle board could be a fun new toy for the summer.
