Wine lovers will descend on Colorado Springs, Colo., for this year’s wine festival March 10–12.

The 2017 festival has a “Best of” theme, with a selection of the renowned guest vintners from previous years invited back to Colorado. The festival involves a number of seminars, ranging from wine pairing classes, tastings and even cooking classes.

Cooking activities will be led by acclaimed TV chef Marc Murphy, presenter of the Food Network show Chopped. Murphy will be holding a private cooking class, a book signing and cooking for the Gala Dinner on Saturday night.

Tickets to the dinner cost $200, with Friday’s Grand Tasting priced at $85 and other events ranging from $40–95. It promises to be a great weekend for wine fans, and the money raised will benefit the Colorado Springs Conservatory.

The conservatory provides a space for theater and musical activities, encouraging the next generation of performers. If you want to taste delicious wines, eat amazing food and contribute to a worthy cause, the Wine Festival of Colorado Springs is for you.

You can combine your visit with some time spent exploring the nearby Rocky Mountains. It is generally a little late to ski in March, but it’s worth checking the weather to see if you can fit in some last-minute time on the slopes.

Colorado Springs Airport is well served by major carriers from across the United States, and there are plenty of accommodations in town. It’s going to be a great weekend.
