Carl Cox Preparing His Final Year at Space Ibiza

To the dismay of clubbers around the word, Carl Cox announced last fall to DJ Mag he will be ending his 14-year run at Space this summer. This comes after the owners of Ushuaïa revealed plans for taking over the club in 2017, with Cox hinting at a possibility he could return there in the future.

While many are saddened by the ending of an era, many are also excited for what the DJ has in store for Music is Revolution’s last season. This 15-week run will begin on June 14 with what’s sure to be a star-studded lineup. Sasha, Josh Wink, Danny Tenaglia and Fatboy Slim are already announced to make appearances along with a number of other legends.

There are plenty of other highly anticipated residencies as well. MK will be joining Hot Since 82 to helm INSANE’s Area 10 nights. Maceo Plex will also be at Pacha for his first artist-led residency called Mosaic, held every Tuesday with a lineup of guests that don’t fit the typical Ibiza mold.

If trance is more your style, you’ll probably find yourself at Amnesia for their Thursday night cream parties. Above & Beyond handles the bulk of the season with their Anjunabeats parties, but expect packed nights for Paul van Dyk, Aly & Fila and Armin van Buuren who returns to the club after a five-year hiatus.
