The New Jersey shore is a popular summertime vacation destination for people in the tri-state area and beyond. Besides the beach and the boardwalk, many shore towns are home to outstanding breweries serving unique craft brews. Don’t miss these breweries on your next trip down the shore.

Beach Haus Brewery

Located a block away from the beach in Belmar, N.J., Beach Haus features rotating taps of seasonal and year-round brews. Days and hours vary by season, so be sure to check the website before your visit.

Cape May Brewery

The microbrewery and taproom specialize in German-style and light ales. Located in Cape May, visitors are invited to take free guided or self-guided tours. The tasting room is open daily.

Carton Brewing Company

This Atlantic Highlands brewery experiments with unique flavors including oyster-influenced and squash-flavored beers. Carton is most famous for their Boat beer, a hoppy session ale.

Kane Brewing Company

The Ocean Township craft brewery focuses on American-style and Belgian-influenced ales. Year-round and seasonal beers are available in the tasting room or to take home in a growler.

Pinelands Brewing Company

For a small-batch brewery experience, check out Pinelands Brewing Company in Little Egg Harbor, N.J. The three-barrel nanobrewery focuses on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The brewery is open to the public Thursday–Sunday.
