This festival held in Optatija brings visitors back in time through a celebration of music. Enjoy musical performances across a range of genres, plus dancers, pin-up models, jugglers, make-up artists and a vintage car showcase. The event takes place June 27–29.

Half New Year Celebration Carnival
This traditional event honoring a half year past in Korčula features a carnival parade through the city streets into the early hours of the morning. The celebration is held June 30 into July 1.
Marking its 75th year, the festival offers visitors a variety of theatrical, musical and dance performances in the historic heart of Dubrovnik. Experience the city’s cultural heritage July 10–Aug. 25.
This unique event is not to be missed. Taking place in Sinj, the equestrian competition honors the victory of Sinj knights over the Ottoman army in 1715. The game has been held every August since 1715. In 2010, the event was listed on the UNESCO List of Intangible World Heritage for its cultural significance. This year’s event will be held Aug. 2–4.

Špancirfest, or Strollers’ Festival, takes place in Varaždin. The annual street festival showcases diverse performers from around the world. The 10-day festival will be held Aug. 23–Sept. 1.
