For most people the thought of sleeping comfortably on a plane is nothing more than a fever dream. Between the laughable bending headrests seemingly designed to fit the head of a hobbit and the pillows that leave your neck craned in an uncomfortable position, there’s just no good place to rest. The new Cardiff Wings might just fix this problem.
These nifty devices hang from the back of your seat and create “wings” on either side of your head on which to lie. They clip easily onto the back of your seat’s headrest by way of an adjustable mounting system that snaps together with the quick push of a button. Then you simply snap on the wings at your preferred height and you’re good to go. The creators claim setting one up takes only seconds. You can even use one on each side to keep your head from flopping around during the flight.
The purpose is to provide lateral support to keep both your head and body upright while providing a comfortable enough place to fall asleep. It also keeps your head from falling onto your neighbor’s shoulders once you doze off, which everyone can probably appreciate.
The Cardiff Wings are now available for pre-order for $45 online, a veritable steal for those of us desperate for a way to sleep during flights.

Stay at Kona Village on the Big Island of Hawai’i and you may think your experience consists solely of private, residential-style luxury and perhaps the occasional fresh pineapple, but Rosewood Resort has something else a little special. More specifically, Kona Village has its very own Mai Tai Mile, where guests can find four unique and different takes on the Mai Tai. Each distinct drink is inspired by its setting and comes with its own story.
