Ads on the home-sharing site Airbnb list the bevvy of amenities, appliances and home comforts you can expect to find when staying in an apartment or local’s home, but soon the site also will clue travelers into where to get outdoors and experience some of the country’s best national parks.

Airbnb recently announced a partnership with the National Park Foundation, the terms will debut for the summer vacation season. When travel planners visit Airbnb, they will have the option to view a specific page dedicated to certain accommodations that are best for their proximity to national parks and/or the national park experiences. Lodging such as airstreams, teepees and mountain lodges will be included among some of the suggestions.

The National Park Foundation — a nonprofit arm of the National Park Service — hopes this collaboration with one of the world’s leading accommodation booking sites will foster more interest in the country’s parks for both Americans and international visitors. The joint effort also will help support park communities and employers that rent out their homes in and around these national parks.

Ten national parks will feature neighboring accommodations on Airbnb, including Everglades National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, Badlands National Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, among others.
