The 37th annual Waterfront Blues Festival takes over Portland, Oregon, July 4–7. The largest and longest-running music festival in Portland recently announced its artist lineup with music legends as well as new performers.

This year’s festival will feature more than 100 performances across four stages. Held at Tom McCall Waterfront Park, the festival kicks off July 4 with a spectacular fireworks show. Beyond blues, festivalgoers will be delighted for music across soul, Americana, funk, bluegrass, R&B and other genres. Performer highlights include Ben Harper, Bobby Rush, Bombino, Jade MacRae and Lo Steele. Check out the full lineup here.

In addition to the performances, the festival hosts a variety of vendors, a dedicated kids’ area, performer meet-and-greet section and more.

“The Waterfront Blues Festival is not just a music event; it’s a celebration of community, welcoming people of all ages and backgrounds to share in the joy of live music, dance, food, art, and all the things we love about Portland,” said Christina Fuller, festival director, Waterfront Blues Festival. “For 37 years, this festival has brought families and friends to downtown Portland, making it a vibrant hub of fun and activity. It’s a tribute to the unifying power of live music and in-person events.”

Four-day passes are available, starting at $125 with general admission and V.I.P. options. Admission is free for children 12 years and younger.

Are You Ready for the Final Switch to Real ID?

Yesterday, TSA began enforcing new identification guidelines, a change that’s been a long-time coming. Now, travelers must show a REAL ID-compliant, state-issued ID in order to fly on domestic flights, in lieu of a non-compliant driver’s license (some other forms of identification, such as passports, will still be acceptable).
