Beercycling, a tour company focusing on beer-themed cycling experiences, offers brew enthusiasts the chance to indulge in some of the world’s most coveted beer at world-renowned breweries while biking trails in Belgium on its 10-Day Flanders Adventure Tour.
With the motto of “Getting You From Pint A To Pint B,” Beercycling takes beer lovers and cyclists of all skill levels on a journey of 200 cycling miles in Belgium through big cities and small villages with stops in traditional family-owned breweries, upstart beer makers and a Trappist Abbey.
Taking place this year April 26–May 5, May 17–26, June 14–23, July 5–14, July 26–Aug. 4 and Aug. 16–25, the beer-filled adventure includes visits to eight towns and 10 breweries by way of flat, leisurely paced rides ranging from 20–40 miles per day. Each tour is led either by founder Evan Cohan and/or the company’s lead guide and hop farmer, Henk Wesselink.
Starting and finishing in Brussels, Beercycling’s most popular tour features a visit to the holy grail of beer, the Abbey St. Sixtus, for a chance to try the legendary Westvleteren 12 and a stop at an Oud Bruin and Lambic maker for those fond of sour beer.
Beercyclists are also given a much needed rest day in the city of Brugge about halfway through the tour to unwind and enjoy activities such as horse rides, boat cruises, chocolate tastings or sampling more beer.
