According to a Vacation Spending Survey from comparison-shopping website FatWallet.com,81 percent of Americans go on a summer vacation. If you aren’t in that group and are looking to save some money this year, consider a staycation. Personal finance social network WalletHub ranked the best and worst cities for people who want to take a trip in their own backyard. WalletHub analyzed the 100 most populated U.S. cities across 17 metrics to put together the list. Key metrics include movie cost, the number of area spas and the amount of local golf courses.
