Dental tourism has become popular among Americans look for more affordable options to improve their smiles. Some countries offer better services than others, though, so here are a few on the safer side.
Thailand
Bangkok is littered with dental clinics offering great services at affordable prices, but do your research before settling on a practice. There are just as many sketchy dentists here as there are great ones. Check online and with friends before settling on a dentist you think can do the job you need.
Costa Rica
Prices for dental care in Costa Rica are often 80 percent less than the average costs in America, so many people in Florida hop down there often. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that the healing time can take place on a beautiful beach.
Mexico
Mexico is likely the easiest option, though it’s also one of the most dangerous if you’re not careful. Stick with established practices in larger cities rather than the local dentist at a small town just across the border.
Hungary
Europeans have been skipping over to Hungary for their dental needs for years and now Americans are catching on. Hungary has more dentists per capita than any other country and their medical care is top-notch.
