Nowadays, there are subscription services for everything, from murder mysteries to candles and everything in between. A personal favorite service curates books each month and mails them to the subscriber.
Book of the Month is an awesome subscription service, and one with which I have personal experience. I was gifted a three-month membership for my most recent birthday and ended up staying with the service.
Book of the Month works similarly to other subscription services. Each month, subscribers receive a package in the mail with their monthly loot. The big difference here is subscribers receive an email on one of the first days of each new month. From the email, users can look at the five new books offered through the service. These books are usually brand new and are often made available for Book of the Month subscribers before the general public.
From the list of five books, users can select one to be delivered for the month. If anything else catches their eye, subscribers can add an extra book to their cart and pay the difference.
I have enjoyed my time with the service because it forced me to read outside of my comfort zone, and I ended up really enjoying my time with those books.
