Visit California released its 2022 Road Trip Guide, with recommendations for dream Golden State drives and how to stay sustainable while on the road.
The 60-page guide offers readers practical road trip information as well as destination inspiration. Within the publication, the “Guide to Sustainable Road Trips and Responsible Travel” offers readers the best way to explore the state in an eco-friendly way. The guide also offers tips for timing your trip, particularly for off-peak travel. Read about 11 destinations in the state that made serious commitments to sustainability practices.
There are dream drive itineraries, complete with a custom Spotify playlist to complement the history, terrain and vibe of each drive. Other highlights in the guide include autism-friendly destinations and attractions, popular stops for science fiction fans, southern California hot spots and unique wine regions.
“Visit California is committed to educating visitors on how they can help preserve the state’s natural beauty and respect local communities while they travel throughout California’s diverse regions,” said Caroline Beteta, president and CEO, Visit California. “This year’s guide provides tips and resources that will help visitors embark on more sustainable road trips, while offering a wealth of ideas to inspire their next dream drive through the California Road Trip Republic.”
