That’s the thinking behind the growing trend of rooftop tents, and Skycamp is a new arrival to the market. It’s an expandable, hard-shell tent you can set up in less than 60 seconds, with space for two adults and two children.

With no need to look for flat ground to make camp, rooftop tents give you even greater freedom on your trips. You’ll no longer have to spend ages clearing rocks from your campground; just park up and spring open the Skycamp.

The Skycamp is available in 250D fabric and cotton canvas, which will retail for $2,950, and $3,500, respectively. There are also a number of accessories you can add to the basic tent unit.

These include an annex room, awning, storage shelf, shoe rack, wind deflector and anti-theft locks. All of the products were available during a successful Kickstarter campaign.

With sturdy materials the Skycamp is built to last, as you would expect for a product that sells for around $3,000. While there are other rooftop tents out there, it’s worth checking out the Skycamp if you’ve got some money to invest.
