Summer temperatures this year have reached record highs, so much that heading outdoors is the last item on any traveler´s agenda unless there is an ice pool within diving distance. Travelers who desperately seek ways to stay cool in uncomfortably warm conditions will find solace with the ChillPad, a mattress pad that provides a cool environment for resting or sleeping.
Similar to a heated mattress pad, the ChillPad can be placed on top of any mattress to keep the bed cool and ensure a comfortable night of sleep even in the hottest, poorly ventilated hotel rooms. Once the mattress is filled with water and plugged in, users can adjust the temperature in single-degree increments as low as 46 degrees Fahrenheit.
The mattress is made of a 150-thread count, poly-cotton material, as circular silicone tubing moves water throughout the mattress.
The pad also comes with a heating function for travel during winter months or to cold destinations. Use the control to increase the temperature to a maximum of beyond 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
The ChillPad comes equipped with a control unit, a remote control for the unit and a power cord. Purchase a ChillPad on ChiliTechnology´s website with prices starting at $499 for a twin up to $1,099 for a California king.
