Airlines who host long-haul flights are considerate enough to provide blankets for passengers for those inevitable hours during which the plane’s interior air becomes nearly freezing. The blankets, however, are made of a thin, fleece-like material and are hardly enough fabric to cover the average passenger’s body from head to toe. Rather than trying to swipe two blankets when the flight attendants aren’t looking, perhaps it’s time to invest in a sturdy, compact travel blanket that suits all sorts of expected and unexpected travel conditions.
The blanket company known as Matador developed a foldable travel blanket that enhances comfort and convenience during any type of travel excursion. Measuring 44 inches by 63 inches, the blanket is large enough for two people yet easily folds and fits into its own carrying case.
Although the blanket is made of HyprLyte nylon, a lightweight texture only 90 microns thick, the Matador pocket blanket is extremely durable and waterproof, all while weighing only 3.5 ounces (98 grams).
The blanket also features weighted corners that keep the material in place, particularly on windy days. Its light weight, durability and convenient packing make the Matador pocket blanket the perfect indoor or outdoor traveling companion. The blanket is available for purchase on Amazon for $24.99.
