Prepare to meet your new favorite seasoning ever. You may have already heard the buzz around Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning from Trader’s Joe’s and for good reason. The blend quickly developed a dedicated following of devotees eager to spread the word of this winning concoction. True to the name, the seasoning tastes like all the goodness of an everything bagel but without the carbs. It’s made with sesame seeds (white and black), sea salt, dried garlic, dried onion and poppy seeds.

Just a few shakes and the blend will instantly upgrade your eggs, guacamole, tacos, popcorn, dips, pasta, vegetables — almost anything you can think of. If you need inspiration, you can find countless online articles and culinary blog posts dedicated to the many ways to cook with the seasoning. Some of my favorites are on Refinery29 and Epicurious.

Once you taste the garlicky, salty flavor you may find yourself reaching for other spices in the cabinet less and less. My go-to snack is a halved avocado with the flavoring sprinkled on top. A more indulgent treat is putting the Everything but the Bagel seasoning on top of an everything bagel. The more flavor, the better!

The best part? It’s only $1.99.
