Foragers Market and its restaurant, Foragers Table, a decade-old farm-to-table favorite in Chelsea, recently reopened for the first time since closing during the pandemic. Its reopening sees the restaurant start fresh with new executive chef Olivier Palazzo leading the kitchen. Palazzo’s culinary experience and inspiration sees a new modern-Mediterranean menu, as well as an imaginative wine and cocktail program.

Palazzo highly recommends the homemade ricotta, lightly doused in honey, studded with pistachio and truffle oil and paired with oven-baked focaccia. Other must-try dishes include Palazzo’s modern approach to the classic Vitello tomato. At Foragers Table, this dish comes with anchovy mayonnaise and capers, with the eggplant confit complete with rich bottarga. The Vitello tomato also features steamed crispy artichoke drenched with garlic, citrus, oregano vinaigrette and shaved Parmesan.

Foragers Table boasts handmade and house-made pastas, such as Sorrento-style gnocchi with lobster bisque, tomato, tarragon and mozzarella. Main dishes include fresh fish accompanied by carrot and blood orange confit; Foragers rotisserie chicken surrounded by a bath of tarragon jus; and Kinderhook Farms lamb shoulder baked Greek-style and served with grilled pita bread and chili-infused salsa verde.

The restaurant’s wine and cocktail program brings Mediterranean influences from the dishes, incorporating different elements into each drink. Drinks range from reinvented classics concocted with fresh fruits, hand-squeezed juices and house-made flavored syrups, to more unique and creative cocktails. Wines include full-bodied reds, crisp whites and refreshing sparkling wines from France, Spain and Italy.
Foragers Table rounds out a guest’s dining experience with live music performances. Performances include piano players, jazz musicians and other genres fit to entertain everyone looking for a memorable dining experience.
