How many times have you come home from work tired and hungry and order out because you don’t feel like cooking? Well with Blue Apron, there is no need to worry about what you are cooking for dinner.
Blue Apron delivers fresh ingredients and instructions to your home to create a home-cooked meal, fitting the demands of your busy life. Yes, you still have to actually cook the meal; this is not a take-out service.
Blue Apron is about the convenience and non-waste. They ship you the recipe cards and pre-portioned ingredients, sending you only necessary items, and you are responsible for cooking and, of course, the eating.
They have two plans: the two-person plan or the family plan. The two-person plan sends three recipes per week for a weekly total of $59.94. The plan is for two servings and the price per serving is $9.99. The family plan serves four and you are able to select either two or four recipes per week at $69.92. The price per serving for four is $8.74.
Shipping is free for both plans and you have the option to cancel at any time. Blue Apron delivers Tuesday through Friday in most locations and Monday and Saturday in select locations. The ingredients are sent in refrigerated boxes with ice packs and insulated liners to insure fresh quality. All of the ingredients are fresh as the company works with family-run farms.
Blue Apron changes the menu weekly, allowing customers to try new cuisines, seasonal ingredients and new cooking techniques. The service also offers Blue Apron Wine, working with renowned vineyards to create red and white wines to complement their recipes.
Bon appetit!
