Designed to emulate the townhouses of Milan, Sale e Pepe, a beloved Italian restaurant in Knightsbridge, London, reopens Feb. 26 following a luxury, month-long renovation. Paying homage to its rich legacy, the restaurant’s redesign, led by Hamilford Design, brings dark blue walls, intricate wallpaper, and bronze mirrors and details to the restaurant.
Open since 1974, renovations mark the restaurant’s 50th anniversary. Sale e Pepe has welcomed generations of guests over the decades, from British and Hollywood royalty to politicians to writers and singers.
Sale e Pepe’s new menu will feature Italian staples to share famiglia-style, with interesting additions like tagliatelle with caviar and salt-baked whole sea bass for two. Upon reopening, guests can also expect an extensive wine list to complement whichever Italian dish you choose. A variety of gluten-free options will also be available.
The restaurant also welcomes groups and events for all occasions, from birthdays to private group dinners and everything in between. Set menu items for events and private groups include burrata caprese, penne arrabbiata, grilled filet steak and homemade tiramisu.
Sale e Pepe is located next to Sloane Street, one of the city’s most exclusive fashion shopping streets. Harrods and Harvey Nichols lie less than a two-minute walk away.
