There’s an easier way to track your caloric intake and more, thanks to a new app available on both Android and Apple devices.
iTrackBites is a comprehensive food and restaurant database with an online community. In addition to tracking calories, iTrackBites also records all your macros (fats, proteins and carbs), saturated and unsaturated fats, cholesterol, sodium, fiber and sugar.
iTrackBites is different from other diet-tracking apps for several reasons.
Firstly, there’s the ability to scan barcodes. You can scan more than 1 million packaged food products to search the app’s database and then record your food accurately and efficiently.
Additionally, iTrackBites has been compared to a free version of Weight Watchers for multiple reasons. iTrackBites assigns point values to foods, just like Weight Watchers, and helps you stick to your weight goals by giving you point amounts to aim for, versus a calorie count to stay under. There are also points you can earn through activity, and both weekly and daily point goals.
Instead of just giving you a calorie goal, iTrackBites also offers different programs, so you can pick a goal that works for more than just losing weight, in case you specifically want to cut carbs or sugar. You can also keep track of your daily servings of water, fruit and vegetables, dairy, lean protein, oil, grain and multivitamins, in case you’re looking to up or cut your helpings of any of those daily.
iTrackBites is available for free, for just the standard features, but if you want access to the restaurant dining database, as well as the specialty plans, like low-carb and low-sugar diets, you’ll have to purchase the pro version, at just $2.99 per month.
