Trends / Unique Itineraries & Tours

From March 2–5, revelers will head to the city of Okeechobee for the second annual music and arts festival.

Following a successful first installment in 2016, the organizers are bringing the festival back to the Sunshine Grove for a second year. Around 32,000 people partied at last year’s event, and the organizers are predicting another strong turnout this year.

With big name acts such as Kings of Leon, Wiz Khalifa and Rae Sremmurd on the bill, it looks set to be a fun few days in the Sunshine State. Demand is proving strong, with early bird tickets already sold out. If you want to attend, you can buy a four-day pass for $259.50, or a three-day pass for $239.50.

The festival is set on 600 acres of grassland, with cool lakes for swimming and plenty of woodland to explore. Okeechobee is the biggest-ever camping festival in Florida, with 80 artists from across the musical spectrum playing on five stages.

The organizers have taken care of everything you want from a festival, with food trucks, craft beer and lakeside bars to keep you fed and watered. You can also explore the art installations that dot the site, or get involved in yoga and meditation workshops if the partying gets too much.

Okeechobee is found just more than 100 miles south of Orlando, and 130 miles north of Miami. You can pitch a tent at the festival site or drive a camper onto the grounds.

Further information is available on the Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival website.
