Don’t let traveling get in the way of your artwork. Instead let it inspire you! With Sakura’s Field Sketch Kits, you never again have to worry about not having your tools with you when inspiration strikes.
So you’re visiting the Borolo Chapel just at sundown and the colors of the chapel are glowing and the sky is a million shades of sunset and you just have to paint it. That’s exactly why Sakura produced a line of portable watercolor kits.
The smallest kit features 12 colors, a brush, a small sponge and a multipurpose container. The 12 colors are specifically chosen so they can be combined to produce whatever hue necessary. The medium brush separates into two parts. The top half is a four-milliliter reservoir to store water and combines with the bottom half, which is the brush, to form a comfortable, utilitarian tool. The lid of the container is separated into five mixing wells. The entire kit is slightly thinner and wider than a pack of cards and fits easily into a pocket.
Sakura also offers two larger options: an 18-color kit and a 24-color kit. Besides the amount of colors, these kits have a brush with a nine-milliliter reservoir for the water, two dabbing sponges, a detachable palette and a ring to hold it by. Each is about the size of a postcard.
Artists can also purchase three brush sizes combined with the two different reservoir sizes. And with Sakura of America, you can be sure that you are getting a top-of-the-line product. Learn more at sakuraofamerica.com.
