The Paint Nite trend started with one event at a Boston bar in March 2012 and has since expanded in two years to more than 1,100 events per month with 55,000 people attending in bars and restaurants in the United States, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Hong Kong, Argentina and Ghana.

The social painting activity combines eating and drinking at a favorite local restaurant with the artistic outlet of painting and professional artistic instruction.
