The Marigold Café & Bakery is a Colorado Springs staple and the best place to experience a classic European bistro in Colorado. The menu of French dishes and freshly baked breads is highly regarded by locals and tourists alike. I had the pleasure of stopping here for lunch during my last visit and it truly lives up to its reputation.
The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere with a staff full of friendly faces. They were attentive and happy to offer up suggestions when asked. I tried the muffaleta, but was tempted by the delicious looking pizza my neighbors were eating, too. As a sucker for carrot cake I couldn’t resist trying a slice after my meal. The smells alone inside Marigold Café & Bakery were enough to make me want to stay all afternoon. Overall, the food was exemplary even if the prices seemed a little excessive for the area.
They also offer a wine bar but I chose not to partake in the middle of the day. Having looked over the menu in its entirety I regret not being able to return to try out some of the dinner offerings. If I’m ever back in town, I’ll certainly head there in the evening to sample some of the larger dishes. I would certainly recommend the Marigold Café & Bakery to a friend.
