There’s no end to the amount of fitness trackers on the market, but none of them are quite as stylish as the Misfit Ray. The activity and sleep monitor looks more like a bracelet than a watch.
It’s made with an anodized aluminum tube that holds the motion sensors used to keep tabs on your daily and nightly fitness levels and sleep. The tube is only 33 millimeters long and 12 millimeters wide for a total weight of eight grams. It’s barely there.
The Misfit Ray comes with a three-axis accelerometer for tracking motion as well as an LED display that’s water resistant for up to 50 meters. The casing shields eight-millimeter spring bars that allow you to customize the settings of your Ray. The device tracks your steps, distance walked, sleep behaviors and quality and the amount of calories you burn in the day
Another cute feature is a built-in vibration that notifies you if you’ve been sitting idle for too long and could use a brisk walk or jog. If you’re not too keen on wearing the Ray on your wrist, it also works just as well when worn as a pendant around your neck.
As with most fitness trackers today, the Misfit Ray syncs with your mobile device through the Misfit app on both Androids and iOS devices via Bluetooth.
The tracker begins shipping in spring 2016 and retails at a price of $99.99.
