Norwegian Air

Airline

Norwegian Air is somewhat of an undiscovered jewel not often frequented by those who don’t travel on a regular basis. Because of that, I’ve always found my co-passengers to be a bit more polite. They’re also often foreigners so flying with Norwegian gives you the chance to speak with a wide array of people from different cultures.

The best part? They’re often much cheaper than more popular airlines. They offer different tiers of service, depending on how much luggage you prefer to bring along and what amenities you require. I flew from LAX to Paris on their most basic plan for less than $500. Since I was traveling light with only a carry-on, I didn’t need the more expensive offerings.

Of course, don’t expect anything extravagant here. We received in-flight Wi-Fi as well as a movie. They even offered a gluten-free menu, which is fantastic for those of us used to having to pack our own in-flight meals.

The flight attendants were good at their jobs and attentive, without any of the attitude I’ve come across from certain other airlines. One issue we did have, however, was with their customer service before the flight.

My friend and I booked back-to-back within moments of each other, yet my ticket cost $50 less than his for the same amenities. When he called to see why this was, he was basically brushed off by the customer service rep who refused to make our tickets the same price. That was frustrating. Since it was still $300 cheaper than any other airline at the time, he dealt with it.

Other than that I was extremely pleased with my experience, and will happily be flying with them again.
