Travel gadgets are ten a penny, but with limited space in our bags we can only afford to bring genuinely useful ones. Polatap looks to be a rare example.
Instead of lugging around a tangle of cables and bulky equipment, Polatap amalgamates everything into a small carrying case. The kit contains noise-cancelling headphones, a speaker, a battery hub, a cable kit and a Bluetooth receiver.
Now you won’t need to take a bulky Bluetooth speaker and big headphones on your next trip. While big bits of audio gear are great when you’re at home, you’re better off having smaller pieces of kit when you’re on the road.
The kit is made to the highest specifications, with support for the aptX codec that has become the new standard in noise-cancelling headphones. For frequent travelers, the technology is great for blocking out the drone of airplane engines, pesky passengers and other annoying noises.
If you spend a lot of time in transit, a kit like this one looks like it would be a good investment. The Polatap kit will retail for $199 following a Kickstarter campaign. Backers are set to receive items by January 2018.
