The Shine Ultra portable scanner is the perfect way to scan onthego. Whether you need digital copies of your travel documents or simply want to scan the pages of your favorite book to read, there’s little this compact scanner can’t do.

Shine Ultra weighs just one kilogram, but is able to scan up to 300 pages in 10 minutes. It’s roughly 4.5 inches in length and six inches in height so it can easily be packed along on a trip. The foldable design makes it easy to tote with you wherever you go. It also comes packed with useful features. The scanner contains multitarget scanning, fingerprint removal and corrects the position of skewed documents. It also comes with a function that purifies the background of your scans, and it increases exposure to help with color correction. The documents are scanned at a resolution of 340 DPI to create high-quality images.

The scanner also uses curve-flatten technology. This means you can scan an open book and end up with flat images easier to read on your laptop or mobile device. The Shine Ultra also comes with video-recording functionality. You can record high-quality videos while you scan, great for presentations. The whole package come with the scanner, a mat to rest it on, a foot pedal for operation, a manual and a USB cable to connect to smartphones and other devices.

Shine Ultra is set to retail for $201 with first shipments beginning this month. Check out the website for more information on features and ways to order.

Review: Armando al Pantheon Restaurant

Armando al Pantheon has been a staple in the Rome restaurant scene for more than 50 years. The eatery serves classic dishes at affordable prices, but is virtually impossible to get into on short notice. It is located right next to the famed Pantheon, making it one of the city’s busiest restaurants.

Enjoy the Open Road on Your Terms

For most of us, time in the car is “me time.” You can listen to that podcast you’re captivated by, blast that pop song and sing along at the top of your lungs or listen to the next chapter in that biography e-book you’re almost finished. A road trip only amplifies those opportunities. So, next time you’re traveling by road, take the wheel and take control. Opt for a rental car on your next vacation, rather than a rideshare, taxi or public transportation, and enjoy the open road on your own terms.
