Always dreamed of working remotely while traveling, but never sure how to make it work? Remote Year might be able to help.
If your boss gives you the green light for working remotely, Remote Year can offer you a four-, six- or 12-month work-travel program. You’re placed in a community of other similar remote workers and then you move around the world for the length of your program, spending one month in each city you visit. The fee for the program is $2,000 per month, plus a down payment, and includes your travel, accommodations, workspace, curated experiences and more.
Remote Year got its start in 2014 and, since then, hosted more than 2,500 remote workers, taking them to more than 40 countries across five continents.
Remote Year just received a new $5 million investment, which the brand hopes will allow it to drive its number of professionals served to more than 1 million.
“Remote Year has unequivocally defined the work-travel space. Their impressive growth and leadership over the last four years has demonstrated the long-term viability of this market,” said Mike Mauceri, CFO, Lightbank, leader of the latest investment round. “We’re excited to partner with them to further their growth, and we’re equally excited to support their vision of shaping the future of work and the global community.”
“We have spent the last four years building our global infrastructure and playbook. We now have the pieces in place to really grow our community,” added Greg Caplan, CEO and co-founder, Remote Year.
