See the Northern Lights from an all-glass, thermal igloo in Finland. Kakslauttanen offers amazing views, accommodations and activities for an overall unforgettable experience in their winter wonderland. Complete with Santa’s home and village, this breathtaking space is one of a kind.
The glass igloos are like pods of light in the snowy woods and allow for a clear, perfect view of the sky. Separate buildings are available for showers, saunas and restrooms since the igloos only fit two to four people. The whole stay is much like camping, only far more luxurious, comfortable and unique.
If the glass igloo or snow igloos aren’t roomy enough, there are many other accommodation options to choose from. Lake-front cabins are available complete with a front porch and sauna as well as luxury suites, classic log cabins, sivakkas for larger families and groups, traditional homes for a colonial feel or the Kelo-Glass Igloo, which is much like the best parts of each option rolled into one amazing house.
During the day, there is even more to do than there are lodging options. With winter activities such as hiking, ice fishing and riding safaris to aurora hunting, snowboarding and cross-country skiing, finding something incredible to do will not be an issue. The summer activities are not lacking either, with gold panning, midnight sun spotting and ATV riding.
