Recently, I woke up on a Saturday morning with an appetite for avocado toast, and I didn’t want to wait. Philadelphia is known for amazing brunch spots, but usually all of the popular ones have lines out the door. Bluestone Lane, on the corner of 17th and Locust in Rittenhouse Square, was the perfect gem for my Saturday craving.

It could have been a strike of luck, but we were seated in the bright white-and-blue atmosphere within minutes by a friendly host with an iPad. Our waiter was equally friendly and quick, and paying was made easy with a quick swipe of an iPad register brought to the table.

The menu is an array of healthy brunch options. I opted for the avocado smash, adding a poached egg on top, and coffee. My friend ordered the same with a matcha latte. I devoured mine in minutes.

The menu includes the breakfast bowl, including kale, quinoa, cherry tomatoes and a poached egg. But don’t worry: They also have a fair share of options (like waffles) for those craving something a little heartier.

If you’re looking for a boozy brunch, Bluestone Lane does not serve alcohol. But if you have a craving for some colorful, Insta-worthy brunch dishes, you won’t be disappointed.
