Reviews / Restaurant

A trip to Ireland is not complete without a visit to Kinsale, a historic port and fishing town in county Cork that boasts a significant military history, picturesque coastlines and some of the best restaurants and pubs in Ireland.

If you’re looking for an authentic Irish experience, look no further than The Bulman, a restaurant and pub uniquely situated on the outskirts of Kinsale, just 30 feet from the Atlantic Ocean. The restaurant sits next to the historic Charles Fort, offering views of the scenic Summercove village across the harbor.

The Bulman welcomes you into a large, warm bar complete with a burning wood fire and authentic Irish music. Enjoy a pint before heading into Toddies Restaurant for some of the best seafood in Ireland. All food served at The Bulman is local, from freshly caught Kinsale seafood to locally reared beef. Try the oysters, Kinsale lobster, the classic beer-battered haddock or salmon and scampi. Partake in an Irish comfort food tradition with a hot bowl of seafood chowder or, if you’re just grabbing a drink and a snack, try the John Barrett homemade sausages and chicken goujons.

The Bulman is a relatively off-the-beaten-path spot, offering a true taste and feel of Ireland, from its perfectly poured Guinness to its warm and inviting atmosphere.
