Tucked away along the cliffs in Rancho Palos Verdes, the luxurious Terranea Resort offers guests a glimpse at a California lifestyle.

We arrived to Terranea in a Lexus, as part of the property’s Lexus Drive Experience. Attendants valeted the rental as we made our way to the front desk. We each enjoyed a glass of Champagne as we checked in. Within no time, we were on our way to our room. Our guestroom featured stunning ocean views and airy décor.

First on the agenda: spa treatments. Open daily, the spa features indoor and outdoor relaxation rooms, saunas, steam rooms and 25 treatment rooms. I indulged in the radiant results facial, which left my face feeling dewy and rejuvenated for days after. A visit to the spa is a must.

Terranea Resort offers multiple dining opportunities, in addition to 24-hour in-room dining. The newly redesigned Catalina Kitchen serves up a spectacular Sunday brunch with multiple stations including omelets, crepes, raw bar and fresh fruit.

Nelson’s boasts stunning views alongside California comfort cuisine. Bashi offers Asian cuisine. Mar’sel is the property’s fine dining establishment. For a more casual experience, try sea beans or the Spa Café.

The resort hosts many activities and on-site shopping experiences to ensure you don’t need to leave the property during your stay. In addition to the fitness center, a variety of fitness classes are available. We enjoyed sunrise yoga the last morning of our stay, for a refreshing send-off.

Terranea Resort is an ideal destination for a rejuvenating southern California escape.

Platform Helps Remote Workers, Business Travelers Find Work-Friendly Hotels

If you’ve ever attempted to work on the go — not necessarily for a business trip, but just because your job offers the flexibility of remote working — you may have struggled with working from your hotel room. Your options are typically plugging your laptop in next to a tiny in-room table, if you’re lucky, or you’re stuck answering emails from your hotel bed — hardly conducive to productivity.
