Travelers have been inundated with new smart locks hitting the market in the past couple of years, each one claiming to be better than the next, but we think the AirBolt Truly Smart Lock might truly be a notch above the rest.

While the primary purpose of a lock is to deter and prevent theft, when traveling it’s also important to always know where your luggage is and the AirBolt can help. The Bluetooth-enabled device allows you to keep track of your luggage at all times through crowd-sourced GPS. If you leave it lying in an airport or it gets lost during the flight, the accompanying app will be able to show its last known location.

You can also set a warning on the AirBolt to alert you when you move too far away from the device, so you won’t leave it lying under a table during a last-minute dash to your plane after stopping for a meal. It also has the ability to thwart theft and accidental unlocking by relocking itself if you don’t remove the embedded rope within an appropriate time frame.
