Spend Your Summer at Oxford University

The Oxford Experience is a one-week residential program designed for anyone interested in taking a course at Oxford University. This year’s program will be held at Christ Church, one of the most prestigious and beautiful of the Oxford colleges. The six-week term runs from July 5 to Aug. 15, with no exams or papers. The courses cover 60 subjects, including The Georgian Home, Great Families of Britain, Napolean, Creative Writing, The Ballets Russes and Ireland’s Troubled past. Highlights of the campus include Christopher Wren’s Tom Tower; dining on High Table in the Tudor hall made famous in the Harry Potter films; and staying in dormitories where poets and prime ministers once lived.

Three daily meals are included. On the final night, there’s a gala dinner in the hall, and one night, students are invited to dine on High Table. After dinner, participants can enjoy pub walks, whisky tastings, lectures and performances. Classes are conducted in the morning, with a coffee/tea break, and afternoons are devoted to tours of the surrounding area. The cost for one week is $1,931, and includes tuition, accommodations, evening entertainment, a welcome reception and all meals.
