Spier Wine Farm, one of South Africa’s oldest and most-beloved working wine farms, is set to debut its highly anticipated Spier Hotel. The property will begin welcoming guests in March.

Established in 1692 and led by the Enthoven family since 1993, the farm sits on more than 1,500 acres in Stellenbosch, South Africa. When it debuts this spring, Spier Hotel will offer guests a comprehensive experience of life on a working wine farm through immersive experiences and accommodations.
“The farm and hotel are an immersive place of peace and connection. Simple and timeless, with the elegance of comfort that never shouts. Set in a magnificent wild Cape garden, it’ll be a more intimate farm hotel and a more encompassing expression of our family’s philosophy,” said Mariota Enthoven, proprietor, Spier Wine Farm.

The hotel will feature 80 guestrooms and suites, two farm-to-table restaurants, three bars, a large heated pool, and spa with 10 treatment rooms. The spa uses products from an exclusive line crafted from farm-grown and wild-harvested botanicals. View the property’s 3,600-piece contemporary South African art collection thoughtfully displayed throughout public spaces. Hotel guests can enjoy exclusive access to immersive farm experiences and a kids’ program. Two private three-bedroom villas will debut in mid-2025. Villas accommodate up to six guests and include dedicated chef and butler service.
