If you have as much as $5 on you, you’re in luck. Stash Invest, an app released in 2015 and seen on CNN Money, Fox 5, BuzzFeedNews and others, was created to bring forth a new age of investors.
Stash is making investing simple and convenient for everyone. After completing a questionnaire to determine your risk level, you are presented with a list of 30 different investments which relate to your interests, beliefs and goals. Then you invest with as little as $5. Stash will be there to help guide you to build smart investing habits.
In order to open a Stash account, you need to provide your social security number, information to your bank account, address and age — you must be at least 18 years old. Stash is free for the first three months, then there is a $1 per month subscription fee until your account reaches $5,000. At that point, the cost switches to .25 percent of your account per year. Currently, the service is only available in the United States and on Apple’s IOS and Android devices.
