The resort boasts a town-like feel with its pools, date palm groves, stores, restaurants, saloon, ice cream parlor, post office, gas station and USGA golf course. The resort’s 80 newly opened cottages feature one bedroom plus a living room. Built in a bungalow style, the stand-alone cottages offer the choice of two queen beds or one king bed. Located on their own street, the cottages are situated between the town square and resort golf course. The completion of the cottages marks the final stage of the five-year renovation.
Other lodging options on site include the formal rooms at The Inn at Death Valley and the casual rooms at The Ranch. Built in 1927, The Inn offers an upscale, old Hollywood vibe. The Ranch was developed later and features 275 guestrooms.

The Oasis at Death Valley’s town square opened new retail stores as part of the renovation. The iconic saloon, The Last Kind Words Saloon, was also a part of the revitalization. The newest attraction is the ice cream parlor, complete with retro décor, an old-school soda fountain and classic countertops. The menu boasts classics from root beer floats and banana splits to hot dogs and fries. Try the signature date milkshake, sold on the property since the 1930s.
The resort also offers hiking, cycling, horseback riding, Jeep tours and stargazing opportunities.
