Looking for an immersive, sustainable way to connect with nature on your next trip? Check out these forest immersion experiences now available from Savia, a 17-acre reserve situated in Costa Rica’s cloud forest.

The private reserve sits just a short drive away from Hotel Belmar (owned by the same environmentalists), within a region known for its biodiversity. The reserve has been outfitted with trails, gardens, platforms and suspension bridges, all in a way to protect both guests and the environment while limiting environmental impact. Guests can rope climb, meditate, wildlife watch and enjoy a picnic above the trees — everything designed to bring harmony to visitors, in harmony with the environment.
If you book a forest immersion experience with Savia, the immersion takes place in a small group of no more than six visitors and lasts three–four hours. A forest mobility expert guides the experience, which includes hikes and leisure time, with tailored offerings for guests’ comfort levels and special areas of interest, such as birding or nighttime experiences.

When you’re finished with your experience, you can go back to your accommodations at Hotel Belmar, where eco-friendliness and sustainability remain the focus, alongside superior hospitality. For the most luxurious experience possible, book the hotel’s penthouse suite, with views of the Gulf of Nicoya, Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve and the Pacific Ocean.

Now, travelers must show a REAL ID-compliant, state-issued ID in order to fly on domestic flights, in lieu of a non-compliant driver’s license (some other forms of identification, such as passports, will still be acceptable).
