Barcelona

Known for its art, architecture and Gothic Quarter, Barcelona is Spain’s top tourist destination for good reason. The Catalonia region offers sweeping, panoramic views of the sea in one direction, and a cosmopolitan metropolis in the other. The legendary Sagrada Familia church, Museu Picasso and medieval Gothic Quarter are just a handful of the must-see historic landmarks. Foodies should be sure to check out the La Boqueria market, offering a vibrant culinary scene or any of the many seafood restaurants scattered over the coast. Eixample and El Born boast vivacious nightlife entertainment and bars for music and dancing.

Madrid

Spain’s capital city offers baroque architecture, masterfully preserved parks, theater and arts, nightlife and much more. The expansive Plaza Mayor is Madrid’s main square and remains a top sight for tourists to explore cafes, shopping and sightseeing. The Museo Nacional del Prado is just one of the many world-class art collections in the city, housing 12th–19th-century masterpieces.

Located in the northeast, this medieval town boasts ancient ruins from Roman-conquered colonies, Mediterranean views and archeological treasures. With so much history and natural beauty encompassed in the eclectic terrain, Tarragona offers a perfect blend of old-city charm and new city comforts.
