There’s nothing more frustrating than arriving at your destination and learning the airline lost your luggage. Now you’re stuck with no option but to trust they’ll find it on their own and return it in one piece. Well, at least you used to be.
The LugLoc, or Luggage Locator, is designed to help you keep track of your luggage no matter where it goes. The idea is through the use of a tracking device you can perform a trace on your luggage and know exactly where it disappeared and let your airline know. That’ll leave them with no excuse for not returning it promptly.
The tiny device is embedded with an ID number and tracker and attached to your luggage. It’s small enough it doesn’t take up extra room and comes with a Triaxal Accelerometer that detects when the plane is in motion and shuts itself off. This way, the device won’t interfere with the plane’s avionics.
The device is charged with a USB cable and has a battery life of up to 15 hours. It works in tandem with the LugLoc smartphone app. Whenever you lose your luggage, just tap the Trace icon and it’ll use GPS to locate it for you.
You receive 15 days of unlimited tracing when you sign up. After that, you’ll have to pay for more. Hopefully you don’t lose your luggage enough to warrant it.
The device itself retails for $69.99 and is available online.
