Weddings / Wedding

While most brides desire a beautiful wedding in a church or tropical paradise, it turns out some ladies prefer something a little more unique: a cave wedding. These peculiar affairs are becoming more popular as of recently and if you’re interested here are a few options to make your wedding day a little more batty.

Lost River Cave

The Lost River Cave in Bowling Green, Ky., actually doubles as a nightclub. They claim it’s one of the largest cave openings in the United States and they’re happy to deck it out in whatever colors you prefer on your special day.

Bridal Cave

The Bridal Cave in Thunder Mountain has everything you need to pull off your special day without a hitch; there’s an officiate, beautiful stalactites hanging from the ceiling, different packages to choose from and excellent views of the Lake of the Ozarks. They even include pipe organ music.

Luray Caverns

Luray Caverns in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley is a popular tourist destination and home to the Cathedral Room, an underground cavern cathedral that plays host to numerous weddings each year. Your package includes not just the wedding in the cave, but also a reception at a quaint little barn in the country.

Longhorn Cavern State Park

Longhorn Cavern State Park in Texas hosts many different events and receptions including weddings. The main chamber of the cave is large enough to host dance parties and even contains a bar! Sounds like the perfect spot for a wedding, right?
